Sturdy and well built, August 28, 2011 This review is from: Laptop Bed Desk Laptop Bed Tray Bed Stand Portable Bed Desk Notebook Computer Table Adjustable Ergonomic W/ Mouse Pad Holder/Drawer and Cup (Office Product) My laptop desk arrived a few days ago, and I was able to assemble it very easily (no tools needed) and found it sturdy and solid to my satisfaction. The wood is smooth and polished and comfortable to the touch. The product is not very heavy to lift. For folks who are injured or have hand issues, it may be a tad heavy.
I've used it in bed while watching Netflix or checking email on my 17" laptop -- no problems with wobbliness, or anything else. It bears the weight very nicely, and fits over my legs with room for a pillow under my knees. It has enough room for a cup of cocoa or milk next to the laptop as well -- though may have to be careful about spills.
The angle does adjust according to the photos shown. The only thing I would have liked is a height-adjustment. You can only tilt the board towards you, and not move it up and down vertically. Consequently, it is too high for ergonomic typing. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

It slides easily making it easy to get out from underneath it and to come back and continue working with it. I spend hours working in bed without feeling uncomfortable. I would recommend it to anything with a laptop or a pad or anyone who likes to read. It's also great as a food tray.
