The aluminum is lightweight yet solid, while the three joints in each leg allow it to fold into any desired position. Of the various brands which produce nearly identical versions of these adjustable laptop stands (e.g. LapDawg, Laidback, HandStands) I couldn't find any others under $50 and many cost twice that. I expect to be using this product for a long time, and would recommend it to anyone wishing to position a laptop for more comfortable use.
